Creating
Stripes from Cylinder Ride-on The Stripes on a
Lawn are formed by the blades of grass creating
nap, much like you get on a carpet. As a mover
runs over a lawn, provided it has a roller, it
forces the grass in one direction and then in
opposite direction creating stripes. Cylinder
movers accentuate the stripping because the grass
is cut in one direction only. |

Follow
a regular pattern of cutting as illustrated.
Firstly cut around the perimeter of
your lawn to provide a turning area
then cut in straight lines either
up and down your lawn or side to side
with each cut slightly overlapping
the previous one.
Other patterns can look effective
i.e. diagonal stripes or a chequer
board effect cutting in one direction
and at right angles. |

Built

operation. Power steering combined
with the hydrostatic drive makes the
machine very manoeuvrable, allowing
infinitely variable forward and reverse
speeds to be selected. This also has
the added advantage of providing unlimited
cuts per yard.
The
rear roller is in three sections and
is rubber covered for good traction
and silent running over hard surfaces.
Internally, the rear roller is fitted
with hardened steel differential gears,
which run in a sealed oil bath. The
optional trailing seat also has a
rubber covered roller. |
